Yesterday was my last day at Douglas High School. I spent the day in Ms. Heine's classroom. The students gave their presentations about the book "The Hot Zone" and afterwards they questioned me about my everyday life in Germany. We had a good time!
In the afternoon, Sonja and I picked up Katie and Mike and went up to State Line (a town at Lake Tahoe). Katie and Mike invited us for dinner at the Friday's Station Restaurant at Harrah's. Mike's dad is the chef de cuisine at this excellent place with a view on Lake Tahoe which is nice, because he had sent us out some delicious appetizers that are not on the menu. :-)
The food was excellent! I have never in my life had a better seafood dinner! Yummy!!!
Today is our last day in Nevada. We will spend it with Tami and John and tonight we have a dinner reservation for the whole family at Red's in Carson City.
The time here has passed too fast. We're sorry to leave our friends and family tomorrow, as we are going to fly to Chicago! On the other hand we are looking forward to the trips to Chicago and New Orleans.
