Seattle - Day 3

After having a breakfast of champions (french toast! :-) ) we went up to the Columbia Center - the tower that Mike was going to climb in the afternoon. Katie, Mike, and Brody went back to the hotel to take a nap while I took a walk through down town Seattle.

After I got back, we went to the Columbia Center again to see Mike going in. He did a good job! His results were in the top 10% of all participants (more than 1500!). I woudn't even be able to walk the 69 stories up to the top whithout anybody racing me or counting my time!

Later we joined a group of other fire fighters who did the climb, too, and had dinner together at the Crab Pot. The place is absolutely crazy! They bring the crabs, potatoes, and corncobs,  pour them in the middle of the table and than you can smash them with a hammer to get the meat out of the crab shells. That is fun! After dinner, the Hacklers went back to the hotel and I followed the rest of the groop to Fado Irish Pub. They had live music and we had a great time there! The Americans obviously know how to party!
